Megan is a registered clinical psychologist and paediatric neuropsychologist. She works predominantly with parents, and with adolescents/young adults from age 14-25years. Her approach is grounded in contemporary neuroscience and developmental psychology, with a strong emphasis on understanding brain development and the central role of supportive, attuned relationships, and the use of practical, evidence-based strategies that support change. She offers the following services:

Parenting Consultations

Both research findings and clinical experience indicate that, in many situations, working directly with parents leads to more effective and lasting outcomes than working solely with the child. Whilst this doesn’t mean there is never value in working directly with children, outcomes are often stronger, more generalised, and longer-lasting when parents/caregivers are actively involved and supported. Megan can help with:

  • Understanding and responding to children’s challenging behaviours

  • Supporting your child’s emotional regulation and “big feelings”

  • Helping you navigate your child’s anxiety, low mood, or mental health concerns

  • Strengthening parent–child and broader family relationships

  • Supporting you as you guide your child through grief, loss, or trauma

  • Navigating adolescence or major developmental transitions as a parent

  • Helping you support your child with school-related stress and pressures

  • Understanding and supporting developmental differences or neurodiversity

  • Guidance for adoptive, foster, or non-biological parents

  • Managing parenting differences or conflict between partners

  • Supporting your child, and parenting, through separation or divorce

  • Building your own wellbeing, resilience, and emotional balance as a parent

  • Exploring how your own childhood experiences shape your parenting
