Welcome to Millennium Consulting: Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy and Psychiatry

we are located at 88 Jervois Rd, Ponsonby, Auckland

Dear People,

Millennium Psychology is an essential service and we want you to be able to rely on us. As we are moving into Level 2, from 14th May onwards we can see you in person, or if you prefer, through videolink online if you need to be at home or cannot come into the office.

We are taking precautions for your safety and wellbeing. We cannot see anyone at the office who shows any virus symptoms or who has been knowingly in contact with anyone with symptoms or who has returned from overseas travel without isolation. This applies to members of our team and staff as well.

We provide hand sanitisers and disinfectant wipes for your use and notices reminding others how to be safe. We frequently disinfect all surfaces in our waiting room and consultation rooms and both our psychologists and staff follow good hygiene practices.

We have proximity restrictions in our waiting room and consultation rooms, so you are not in close contact with others.

Please take care of yourselves and those you love at this time.

The Team at Millennium Consulting.

We are a group of senior clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists with wide clinical experience and expertise.  As practitioners we offer a range of services from individual private consultations to work funded by ACC as well as consulting work with the Family Court and other organisations .  We offer proven evidence based assessment and treatment services.  All of our practitioners are Registered Practitioners holding a current Practicing Certificate.

We are able to offer appointments with specific practitioners, referrals for specific issues (such as Depression and Anxiety) or more general referrals to the first available practitioner.  Initial contact should be made with our reception staff who will discuss your needs and our process with you.  Your G.P. is also welcome to make the referral for you.

The practitioner you are going to see will discuss with you the way they work, how they structure the interventions, how long each session will be and how often and discuss with you how long the work might take.  Generally therapy can take between 6-12 sessions (we offer therapy based on both Mindfulness , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: ACT and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: CBT).  We also offer other types of therapy and longer term psychotherapy.  You will find further information on the training background and different treatment modalities in the biographies of our practitioners that are listed under ‘Our Clinical Team’.

As a practice we welcome you to ask questions and be an active participant.  Our work with you is confidential and our practitioners place a high priority on your privacy.  Any communication of information about your work with us will always be discussed with you first.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please call reception as soon as possible. Most practitioners operate on a 24 hr cancellation policy and you may be charged if you do not cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment.
