There could be many reasons for seeking Paul’s assistance including a client’s current life situation and stresses (work, relationships, health), a loss of some sort (a relationship, a loved one, a job), past experiences resurfacing, relationship difficulties, or traumatic experiences which are affecting functioning today (PTSD).
Paul is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and has worked as a psychologist in NZ and the UK. He has an MBA and worked in business advisory services. He has successfully started up and run a number of businesses and he is very experienced in dealing with the stresses involved in owning and managing a business. Paul is now committed to assisting clients through the challenges of life, to lead a more meaningful, more rewarding, more enjoyable life.
Paul’s approach to therapy is based on meeting a client’s specific needs. Therapy can be short-term or long-term, and can involve gaining insight into issues and difficulties, developing new skills and strategies to address difficulties, addressing the effects of past experiences, or managing anxiety about the present and the future. Therapy is generally based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or mindfulness concepts and practises.
